Finding Faith

Wow.. it's been almost a year!

I was a few months out from overlapping my last blog post with a post that was a whole year later! As you can see, a LOT of time has passed since last I wrote. And what an adventure and a ride it has been!

I completed my first year of college. One thing i regret is that I thought for sure I could just get by in college the way i did in some of my high school work. But oh, how wrong I was. I still came out with decent grades, but my feeling of accomplishment was very low. I knew that this next year needed to be better. It needed to be a time where I truly strived to be successful and hard working, rather than the feeling of barely surviving. :) I know that through this next school year, that if I stay close to my Savior, that anything is possible and that He will help me make it through all the rigorous things that will be required of me. If there is one thing that I have learned from about my 10th grade year, is that when you take time for Heavenly Father by reading your scriptures before your homework, that you will be immensely blessed, and your homework will run so much more smoothly. I am very excited for the opportunity to work hard this year, and make up for lost time.

So many people have changed my life in the past year. I can't even thank them all. Within this past year, I was called to be a Beehive advisor. I was so terrified at first to think that I would be teaching, but once I let go of my doubts and fears, I fell in love with my calling. And now I cherish it with all my heart. How grateful I am for the examples who have blessed my life in the young womens program. Whether it be leaders whom I was taught by when i was a young woman, or leaders who i now work with, they have helped to mold and shape me into the person I am today, and the testimony which I live for. I'm so grateful for people like Julie and Sheree who have been leaders even since I was still in the Yw's program and for the example they've been to me in my life. How grateful I also am to all the other leaders who have been so kind to me, and have taught me so much. Kasey, Carol, Becky, Shelly, Heather, and of course Alyson... you all amaze me and I appreciate the love you show in all that you do.

It has been a year of struggles. But when do we all not have struggles? However, this year the struggles were more prominent and cutting in my life. How grateful I am for those struggles which I faced, and for the opportunity I have had to turn to my Savior, Jesus Christ, and feel of His embrace and the realization that he is always there. I am so grateful for those who have come into my life this year and have changed everything. Those who have been examples to me in all that they do. I live in a family that never fails to be examples for me, and keep me going in the right direction. I am so grateful to my friends,particularly my Lindy Lou. What would I have done without you this past year, my friend? Thank you for your love and support and for all of the things which we went through together.

I am in the midst of interning for summer musical theater workshops for kids ranging from grades 5-12. How grateful I am for the oppotunity which I have had so far to learn to meet so many young people and find what it means to truly love them like they are your own. So many of these children in the first session stole my entire heart, and Im not sure if they will ever give it back. It is simply amazing how much you can grow to love a child in such a short amount of time. Although most of them were taller than me, I met some teens who I will never forget. They have kinda become adoptive younger sisters, and I cant wait to keep in touch with them and watch where their lives take them. Here are some of the kids who I got to work with. :)

Life is rough at times, but all the times of darkness are WORTH IT in order to bring forth the light out of obscurity. It's good to be back, I hope to keep on top of posting this year! Over and out, my friends!

Startin fresh!

Today we had a special stake conference with a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Elder Quentin L. Cook. It was pretty darn amazing! The topics were wonderful, and I really got a lot out of it. It really made me realize how our time here is so short, and how we cant afford to just sit back and be lazy and not fill our time with worthwhile things. After conference today, I just wanted to go out and love others. We talked a lot about having bowels that are filled with compassion. Our stake president made sure to excuse himself in front of Elder Cook for talking about bowels in stake conference :p hehehehehe. Pres. Smith actually defined the definition of the "bowels" which they refer to in the scriptures. And he described it as emotion that derives from the very essence of you. Emotions that arise from the depths of your soul. So having bowels that are filled with compassion and charity, means loving others from the depths of your soul, and loving them from the very essence of who you are. We are commanded to show this love to all of our neighbors. Not just those who share fence lines with us, but everyone who we come in contact with.
I realize more and more every day that taking the time to love others, and to have charity, is what ultimately makes me the happiest. There is nothing else that can replace that feeling in my heart when I take the time to care. So I guess if you're reading this right now, and have taken the time to read this far, that I ask you this. Please take more time to love others, and to genuinely show that you care. I know I have been blessed for it. And I know you can be too, and find the happiness that I find. I will leave you with the wise words of Henry Ward Beecher~

"Of all the earthly music, that which reaches farthest into Heaven is the beating of a truly loving heart." :)

This is the time of my life

It is so incredible how fast life can pass you by. It reminds me every single day that I cant afford to take one second for granted. I look back over the years and realize the relationships that may have slowly slipped away. And how I wish they could come back to the time that they were in their prime. But sometimes those relationships are only intended for a season. Yet, those times can have more powerful influences on our heart and soul than we ever knew possible.

It is incredible what starting college can do to a person. I have only been in the official college world for about a week, and I am already seeing a transformation, once again, in who I am. And who I am becoming. Junior high and highschool were all about cliques. As you went on, everyone knew every body. But college is so much different than that. When everyone walks in on the first day of shcool, every one is brand new. No one is quite sure what to expect. And everyone is searching for the opportunity to find a new friend. To feel loved, and accepted.

There was one time this past week, where I decided it was finally time to introduce myself to a young lady who is in almost all of my music classes. I thought I was doing a small, and simple task, that didnt mean much. Later that class period we took time to publicly thank others who had touched our lives for the better. That very same girl chose me. She thanked me for the simple task of introducing myself, and making her acquaintance, and was overly thankful for that. It made me realize how much we all truly have to give. And that we can make a difference.

I have already met so many incredible people this past week at school, and I am seriously so thrilled to continue in the path that I have already created. Choir is so amazing, and I love making music with others who I know share the same passions as I do. I cannot wait to start vocal jazz tomorrow and come back to a place where I feel at home. Singing jazz makes me feel at home. The home that was such a major part of me the past two years at Mesa high. I love my family. I love my friends. I love my Jazz (hehe). But most of all, I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior. I'm so thankful for every day, and for every breath I take. Because life is not measured by the amount of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Keep Holding on, there are angels all around us

I know that there have been times when people say "there are angels all around you." I believe that full heartedly. I will never forget the conference talk by Jeffrey R. Holland which spoke of the tongue of Angels. And the impact that they have in our every day lives. He spoke of angels who are unseen, yet leave us feeling their presence. He also mentioned that there are angels all around us who are in plain sight. But sometimes we dont take the time to acknowledge that they associate with us, or are right under our noses.

I have true angels in my life. Both seen and unseen. There are times when I am offered protection, or have a quick prompting to do something, or suddenly feel comforted when there is no one around, and I know that it is the unseen angels. I know that Heavenly Father has angels that attend us and comfort and help us, as we live our lives. We are His children, and He loves us, and wants us to feel as much comfort and love as humanly possible. I have angels in my life, who are seen. They surround me, and remind me why I am here. Why life is so important. They are there to teach me, and to understand the things that I cant handle alone. I know that I have been blessed with angels all around me, to help me in the moments when I feel alone. They are truly gifts from my Heavenly Father, and mean so much more to me than anything the world has to offer.

I love my angels without wings, and I do not know what I would do without them. You make every day of my life beautiful, and worth breathing, and I see His image reflected in your eyes. I love you my angels.

In learning you will teach..in teaching you will learn.

So I was recently called to be a beehive advisor in my ward. I was so nervous when I was first extended the call, but I willingly accepted. My initial thoughts were, how on earth am I supposed to teach these girls?? I'm barely a girl myself! Well, today the spirit testified to me, just how I am supposed to teach. I am supposed to teach by truth. By testimony. By simply what I know in my heart to be true. Today I bore my testimony in Young womens to all the girls and I told them this, "I accepted this calling, because I know that everything you learn in young womens is absolutely true. If I did not have that 100% knowledge, then I would not have accepted the calling.That is why I am here. To testify of the truthfulness of these teachings to you."

I know I was called to testify to those girls, because I was just barely one of them. I know that they can relate to me, and that it is such a blessing that I have the opportunity to teach. I know that my Heavenly Father has helped prepare me over the years, for this calling. I know that no matter how bizarre it is that an 18 year old who graduated 2 months ago,got called to be a young womens leader, that I can find strength and courage. Because I know that Heavenly Father will not call me to do anything that I cannot handle. He knows my strength, so much better than I do. And He has sent His son to live and die for me, and to bring about an atonement that can help me progress towards the kind of person that I have always wanted to be.

I know that this gospel is true. I know it with all of my heart. I am so excited to testify of its truthfulness to those beehive girls. I am so excited that in teaching, that I am going to learn so much more. I cannot wait for the day when I will be able to receive the blessings that I learn about so often, such as entering the temple and being sealed for time and all eternity. Such as being a wife and mother, and raising a family in righteousness. That is my number one goal, above all else. And I pray that I will live worthy to receive those things. I love my Savior, I love my Heavenly Father, I love my family, I love all of my friends so dearly. And I hope to continue to show how much I love you, and how much I want to serve my Heavenly Father, no matter where life takes me. :)

So I havent posted on this blog since my junior year of highschool..hmmmm. It is very safe to say that it has been quite some time. I have now graduated from highschool, and I am preparing for college. I received a scholarship for vocal performance at Chandler Gilbert Community college, and I am very thrilled that I am going to be involved in so much music this upcoming year.

I have been on quite a journey since my junior year, that much is certain. Times of trial, times of fear, times of aching. But also times of joy, times of laughter, times of gladness, and times of love. Much has happened to me since I have last written. I cannot possibly recall every event that has commenced since then, but I will tell you this..

I have had a change of heart. I am no longer who I used to be. Starting my senior year, I was scared and worried little girl. My best friends were gone for college, and I was left feeling like I could never ever make any other friends who would understand like they did. I was so sure that nothing else in my life felt real any more. I slowly shut down. I brought myself to a place where I was more miserable than I have been in my entire life. The world was dark, the world was dim, and I couldnt find a reason to keep going on. Until one night when I snapped.

That night I dropped heavily to my knees, and began to pray. I prayed harder than I have ever prayed in my entire life. I sobbed for hours praying that Heavenly Father would forgive me for being stubborn and hard hearted, and that He would grace my life with joy that I had been missing for so long. After a very long while, my sobs slowly came to a stop. And there was peace. I felt as if someone were in the room with me, and as if there were someone there who was lifting me off of the floor. I know in my heart that my Savior was watching over me that night. That my Elder Brother, Jesus the Christ, knew my pain and my grief. But He was there with me, holding me close and telling me to be scared and lonely no more.

From that moment on there became a change in my life. I began to feel like something amazing was coming around the corner. And I was right. Through my faith, and the goodness of my Heavenly Father, He gave me the confidence and will power to step out and to open my heart to let others in. Needless to say, from that point on, everything worked itself out the way that it was intended. My Heavenly Father has sent me friendships in the past year that I cant even fathom living without now.

The friendships I've received in the past year have taught me even more clearly that charity is the center of all happiness. That it is only through thinking of others, and loving with all your heart, that you can be truly happy. Life is very fragile, so take every opportunity you can to get to know others and find the beauty that they have to offer. And sometimes if you're lucky, you will find a new true friend who you cant believe you lived without your whole life. I know I have experienced it first hand, and I am so grateful for that.

Now here I am, looking towards the future. Here I am, a poor soon to be college student and I dont have much more than a penny to my name! A student with an unknown future. I must say that every day I find myself thinking more about worthwhile things, verses the futile thoughts I had in highschool. I know for a fact that all through highschool that it was all about the hotties. The attractive boys. THe ones who may run 2ft deep on the inside, but are super cute. I find myself falling into a new way of thinking... and I hope it eventually leads me to a new way of life. I find myself thinking about the kind of man I want to marry someday. How much I want him to be a straight arrow in the gospel, and someone who honors their priesthood, and loves their family with all their heart, and never ceases to teach them that they are children of God, and they are so precious in His eyes.

I know that if I hope to marry someone of that calliber, that it is my time to become like them. To be the wonderful things that I want to see in my husband. I will not live in hypocrisy. I want to be the kind of person, that I want to marry someday. These days.. nothing else really matters but rededicating myself to the gospel, service, and striving to love others with all my heart. Everything else feels like its slowly melting away. Although I have many faults..too many to mention, I know that nevertheless I am on my way. That I am now heading towards a future that can be as bright as I make it out to be. As long as I work hard, have faith, and trust in my Heavenly Father's loving care. It is in that loving care that I have trusted in the past year and a half. And it is that loving care which I will continue to trust.For my Savior is the light that shines through, every day of my life. Here are some of the moments which I have seen the goodness of His loving heart.

So my life has consisted of nothing short of madness!! Haha my life is so busy these days, but Im loving every second of it! Here are two pictures of some of the people I hold dearest to my heart. These are the kids who practice with me day in and day out to try and make Seussical the Musical a success!!! (Which will play from April 15th-18th and you should ALL BE THERE!!!) Girls Night All State Birthday Disneyworld Hike of Death Extravaganza!

So for ANYONE who still believes that my blog still exists..thank you very much for still waiting for a new post. As you have probably already guessed by my infamous title, I've got a LOT of catching up to do.

Well first on the list is girls night..um im not gonna really think up an explanation for our appearance.. so just know that girls will be girls :]

Then that same weeked I attended the All State Jazz and Show Concert and four very cute people from Mesa represented us including these cutefaces right here :] Sadly one picture is very tiny for some reason.. but I love it none the less.

Then it was Nicks Birthday! The big boy turned fifteen! Wow he's growin up way too fast and definitely is waaaay taller than me now.

Then my parents who had surprised us at Christmastime.. took me and Nick to WALT DISNEY WORLD! It was intensely awesome but i cant post every single picture :]

Then Lastly but not least on our whatever holiday that was where we had monday off of school, haha we went hiking as a group of friends. It was challenging, yet an adventure. Haha i lost my "SOLE" on the mountain.

As well as losing my "sole" on the trail we also had rips of death along the way :]

So yes, we are not really looking at the camera but does this picture remind ANYONE else of enchanted? Haha.. i love it.

Well that just about covers it..im also in Seussical the Musical at Mesa! Im way excited and our show goes up in April.

So at this point in time life is simply Beautiful!!! I cant help but think how beautiful everything is and how rich it is to spend time with family, party with my friends, laugh til your sides hurt, eat til you cant anymore, sleep, and just smile all along the way :]

So first off I over winter break I was able to do achieve what so many thought was impossible...

I GOT MY DRIVERS LICENSE!

It took me a long while to finally get it down but on my seventeenth birthday I got it! It was so exciting!

Then, My baby, Brinky, turned four!! I can hardly believe it! I still remember walking around the hospital with Biddy the night before she was born. She has grown up so much since that day and I want her to know that I love her so much :] I love you Brinky Dink! Happy Birthday Big Girl!

Well Folks, for now this is a pretty short lil post! So i apologize for that! But i promise as soon as i get around to it that I will share many many many good times with you from Girls Night to Walt Disney World Florida!!!!

Christmas Christmas time was here..

So basically my Christmas Break was nothing short of Amazing!!!

Between the parties, the hugs, the kisses, the Fam Damily, the friends, and the love of the season.. there is nothing i would change about it.

Christmas is a time of love, good cheer, and hope. It is absolutely my Favorite time of the year.

First there is the love of the season. One of my friends, Aka peppermint patty who graduated last year, got Married just before Christmas. She looked so beautiful and Im so happy to see the example that she is setting for me to also go to the Temple someday.

Then..just before Christmas, who should we find but SANTY CLAWS HIMSELF! He was ridin down 32nd Street in his sleigh and we pulled him over to take a picture! KIDS: Dont you ever believe what the big kids tell you about Santa not being real! "They sit on a throne of lies! They smell like beef and cheese..and dont even smell like Santa!"

Franky got in the Christmas Spirit by sporting his classy Holiday bow.

For any of you who still rejoice in the Disney Princesses, you can be happy with me for this! For Christmas I got The Little Mermaid 2. Which means that I have All Three Little Mermaids on DVD!!! And if any of you know me at all this is pure bliss :]

Then there was New Years! There was a huge New years Party on my birthday and it was an absolute blast!

I apologize buddy, but this moment was priceles! So there were hommemade cheesecakes..and one was left laying around..and it was positioned perfectly where some dude decided to sit down.. and well, you do the math! :]

My girls are so funny!! They decided to give me a "Girls night" in a box for my birthday! This had a bottle of Martinelli's, a box of chocolates, the DVD of EVERAFTER which I have yet to watch, a can of pinapple (so Maddi can visit..if you dont know this story, then just dont worry about it.), and last but not least this Radical pair of boxers!!! Haha they definitely have a huge bling bling car on the front and say "Its A BLING THING!" Pretty much girls..Girls Night in a box= AWESOMETOWN. Thank you for that :]

As you can see..my Holiday Season was immensely amazing.

As for my New Years Resolutions?

Well, Im happy to say that I wrote nine out of the ten songs that i wanted by the end of 2008. Im pretty happy about them and with a few more songs hope to record an album. :]

New Goals you say???..

Well, I have resoluted (a word?) to:

Exercise..way more!

Eat not so much crud.. ya know, still snack here and there, but not destine myself for heart failure.

Record an album for all of my friends and family.

Read the Book of Mormon at least once all the way thru.

Tell my family I love them more.

Show more Christlike love to everyone i know.

Get down on my knees and into the scriptures more.

And lastly..love myself for who I am. I think there are those who can testify that a lot of times i will flip out on myself for being stressed or think i just dont have what it takes at the end of the day. But Im so grateful for my family and friends who never ever cease to love me and never ever give up on this silly, stubborn, seventeen year old.

I Love you all so much. Thanks for the laughs, the game nights, the Christmas Carols, the Fro yo, the Sisterhood movies, the sleepovers..and everything else that makes my life that much more meaningful.

So i dont know if anyone still reads this darn blog anymore..for i have failed terribly at keeping up with the happenings of my insane life. But i shall try and catch you up a lil bit..

First of all i have not even talked bout Turkey Day!! The food was nummy as always and was very very excited to play with fam..especially these two..!!!! :] (ps i expect an award of some kind for these shots! They're priceless!! Not bad for an amateur eh?)

Baby Ally.. prettiest blue eyes ever!In this one Al's givin a true model face..it kills me. This little girl isn't even two yet! Oh and do others appreciate the clouds in the back and the contrast of the bright grass? I love it!

Brinky Dink and Auntie! Once again..the bright colors and the pretty sky makes me love this shot!

Anywho..after the turkey was eaten..the party really begun!

Me, mom, Biddy, and Aunt Jana teamed up to go on a Black Friday Shopping trip of all shopping trips. We were very successful I must say, draggin our little sorry bodies out of bed and gettin out at 3:45 :]

Then there was Vespers! Or our traditional Religious Choral concert at Mesa High. Me, and one of my newest best buds, Jenny McCauley sang "I heard him come," together! It was very successful and such an amazing experience to sing it with her and share of the spirit of that song with others. There is a link on the side of this blog titled "i heard him come" if you wish to watch it. Just make sure my playlist is turned off beforehand. :]

Then last but not least Seussical the Musical is coming to Mesa High!! We will be auditioning the first day back to school and I am absolutle extatic! I"m shooting for either "JOJO" a young child, who is a crazy thinker and uses their "thinks" to create the show. Or "Gertrude McFuzz". A little awkward bird who is madly in love with Horton the Elephant. :]

School gets out very soon! Im way excited for playtime. Love you all!

Oh Joy of joys we had a FOUR day weekend this past week! ANd i do apologize to any of you who still religiously check blogs and have been thoroughly disappointed that mine has been a little less than satisfactory the past little while..but hey! Life gets BUSY!

So basically here's me! Crazy, insomniac, phsyco face teenager lost in my junior year of highschool! Haha that's just about all that this year has consisted of so far for me is just busy, busy busy work non stop! But thankfully I have my friends and fam who I adore more than anything to keep me SANE!

So this break was way way fun! And I have decided to give you a little flavor of what's been goin on in my life! :]

So first off Michelle is 18! Holy cow ya'll are growin up so fast on me! So she decided to have a "fairytale" themed party where we all dressed up like princesses and princes (or aladdin if your marc :] )! So try as we might me and Mads spent ages trying to figure out what to wear, when we dug out our ninth grade choir dresses..we INSTANTLY thought the same thing and decided to wear them in all their yummy-ness to the party. Mind you those dresses have been thru ten years of girls wearing them..SCARY! We wanted to BURN THEM in all of their ancient glory at the end of ninth grade, but alas the moms rejected the idea! We are considering saving our money and wearing them to Homecoming tho :] Hee hee..(ps Nathan is responsible for how poofy my hair looks! He did that just by playing with it!! I think girls should pay him to poof their hair !) Oh Boy then came the Mountain View football game! Haha here's Nay Nay with his awesome fro..it made me smile!

As you can see, there were tons of fun people to play with! All whom I love Dearly..

But by far the best highlight of the night was one of my bestest friends playing the role of the MESA JACKRABBIT!! It was awesome and she did SUCH a good job! Hee hee my personal favorite was the shaking of the bunny tail! :]

Well, at the end of the night the boys came up short. The toros took home the gold, but hey you CANT TAKE AWAY THE JACKRABBIT SPIRIT!!!

So apparently he's camera shy, but FRANKY'S Birthday was this weekend! Hee hee I think we calculated that he's five in human years..so he's 40 in dog years.. ur gettin old little buddy!

Saturday morning consisted of yard work..oh yeah..Im WORKIN IT with that leaf blower! :]
So in the past little while my buddy Marcus Levi Johnson (the tall dark and handsome one to the left) asked me to Homecoming! I was way excited! He asked me by putting the letters of his name on doggy treats and saying, "i'd be happy as a puppy if you'd go to Homecoming with me!"

THerefore, I figured I HAD to answer in a Dog-ish fashion..which lead to THIS...

TA DAH!! (sp?) Me and Mads used some artificial hair coloring stuff and sprayed yes onto the side of his puppy! Haha it was NOT easy trying to pin him down and spray legibly but I think we did a pretty good job! I felt sorry for him tho..because he kind of jumped when I sprayed the bottom half of the "S" ! HEE HEE I think he was ticklish ! :]

OH and considering I prolly wont blog again by tomorrow I just wanna make a shout-out to my dear sista Biddy for her birthday! ANd here is my ode to her~

AWESOME POSSOM WEEKEND!!!

So school is back in full swing and what better way to start that school year off than having two of my favoritest people turn the big 1-8!! That's right, these two are officially legal. So all of you who secretly are madly in love with these two can now take them on single dates :] Hee hee.
So the festivities started out VERY early Friday morning by surprising Mads with some nummy waffles! Haha there were a few minor setbacks to that one but they're a tad embarrassing so let's just say it was an adventure in of itself!
THEN! Saturday night we completely surprised the two birthday bums with a surprise black and white party. We had black and white movies, balloons, oreos, the whole nine yards. It was awesometown..population our party animal possie!
Aaah..all the girls together..haha just makes me SMILE :] :] :]

Ok, so please allow me to explain this one because I'm guessing that right about now ya'll are EXTREMELY confused! So apparently before the surprise party our guy friends decided to throw themselves a MAN NIGHT. Not a guys night, not a boys night, but a MAN NIGHT! So apparently in order to be manly they dressed up in intense costumes and walked around with dangerous weapons. Oh, might i mention they were real weapons. Anyone could have walked around with a couple plastic guns and swords..but oh no..not our guys. They are a whole breed of their own~ but I do love them for it very much!
This one just makes me laugh! It's me and the girls in our truest form..hmm maybe. that may have to wait til girls night :]
Then Sunday night, the fam damily came to visit! It made me very happy!!! I love them so much. Wish you all could have seen this little one goin' at it with the taters and carrots :]

Today was our first day of school! IM so glad to be back and playing with the people I Love every single day! They rock my sox. Choir is gonna be absoultely amazing..which i expected! In chamber today we learned about scatting and went around in a circle and listened to the beats and rythyms of the song we were listening too. Then individually we scatted along to the notes and made it up as we went..it was SO cool ! I loved it so much. Lots of peeps also in sixth hour seminary! I love you mesa high!

HOLY COW!!!!!!!! This is prolly gonna be one of the best summers of my entire life! I dont think i will ever forget it! For anyone who still believes in reading my blog ...here ya go!

First of all I gotta fill you in on Lake Powell!

Every year for a week we go up to lake powell and party like rockstars with our family and friends! This picture is in a cove that me and my buddy kayaked into and it was SO pretty. I swear the celestial kingdom better look like lake powell! hahaI got to wakeboard all week long! I love wakeboarding and i love spending the time to get better every summer! Here is Kens, Lauren, Ash and me partying up on the boat! (Dont you love the survivor look?!)

Now for my New Jersey/ New York trip!

So this year my dearest gramma decided to be gracious enough to pay for our family to go to New Jersey and stay on Point Pleasant Beach for an entire week at a beach house.

Luckily for me this lil sweet heart was my flying buddy for most of the way there! Shes my little Ally baby or "Alvin" as we started to call her on this trip. Haha then my family got smart on me and started to called me "Calvin." Nice one guys! Tee hee!

HAHA! I popped the Binky on this one and finally caught her cheesy lil smile ! I LOVES IT!

WE finally reached NEw Jersey! HEre is our "happy to be on the ground" faces!

Here is our lovely house that we stayed in for a week! It is so pretty in New Jersey!

On Sunday we took a picnic and went to "Goose log park" as I like to call it. You can use your imagination why we picked the name goose log. :]

As we were driving to Church I spotted this sign and HAD do take a picture of it. It made me very happy!

So after our picnic we went to a wildlife preserve and took a walk down this path. Living proof that somewhere along the line someone decided that Arizona should shrivel up like a prune on a summer day but New Jersey will be permitted to have all the moisture in the world and look pretty much like the secret garden! Hmm..what gives?

So you're prolly thinking..What the HECK is that thing?! Well this here is a horse shoe crab. Dont worry its dead. This monstrosity was wedged into the pier at the shore and me and my sister thought we were cool by being the adventurous type and pulling it out so we could parade it around! Well here it is! But we definitely got a wiff (sp?) of it when we were taking pictures and threw it back to sea once we were done!

I learned how to boogie board! Haha did anyone else notice my HUGe farmer tan on my legs? HAHA oh man that is from wearing knee shorts at Lake Powell for a week!

And I know that about 99.9 percent of you except for my theater nerd buds are thinking.."okay who's the dude in the purple?" But this man is currently playing Prince Eric from Little Mermaid on Broadway and I was fortunate enough to see him texting on the street corner and got a picture with him!!! It was amazing!!

So for anyone who still reads my blog I apologize that I have no time to post very often over the summer! I have been having the time of my life lately..girls camp, lake powell (and comin back lookin very BROWN), musical theater workshop (probably my best year ever), and last but not least we are taking off on Friday to head to New Jersey to get a beach house with the fam at Point pleasant beach! But oh my friends...my most anticipated event of the ENTIRE SUMMER!..............
I am going to see LITTLE MERMAID ON BROADWAY!!!!!!!! Ariel has ALWAYS and eternally will be my favoritest princess out there! For anyone who has not yet experienced listening to this soundtrack..DO IT NOW! It will knock your sox off , I promise you that! This musical is so sparkling and fresh that it just takes my breath away to listen to it..so I cant WAIT to actually see it put on stage.. Well im off to get my mountain of laundry done so that I dont walk around the big apple in my birthday suit..(even tho i have heard there's a naked cowboy.. :] ) haha Much love to all and I promise MAJOr picture time of all my adventures when I come home! This week was one thing...
FANTABULOUS!

Why you ask?

Could it be all of the fetchin awesome things I did at camp?

Well... You can be the judge of that!

Here is just a little Taste of what went on at camp! :]

First of all we stayed at a campsite up by Strawberry. This is the view looking at the camp across the marsh, or the "swamp" as everyone called it!

Me and my lovely partner in crime. Aka my YCL buddy!

These are our lil 1st years whom I grew to love SO dearly while I was at camp. Actually, I can't really call them little first years..because most of them are taller than I am..oh well..that's the way it goes! YCL's in all their lovely-ness. Nuff said. Airheads..and I'm not just talking about the candy. :]

I named this girl Sass-a-frass! She had style..even at camp! As for me..I didnt really have a choice and i was goin for the survivor look!

Here is me and my hero aka kamakazzi (no idea how to spell that one) zipline buddy! This girl went backwards and upside down on the zipline and was rediculous! It was amazing!

Well all in all camp was AMAZING THIS YEAR!

So Pretty Much These last couple weeks have been absolutely phsyco! And even tho this weekend was so crazy, there were moments that were absolutely amazing and really really fun!

First of all, we had our Treble Makers performances! My voice teacher was the director of this group and it was made up of kids from ages 7th grade-10th. It was so dang fun! I had a solo during "You Can't Stop the Beat" It was sorta scary, but the addrenaline was awesome.

I have made so many friends these past couple summers during workshop and one of the funnest buddie's I've met is this gal right here! We were in Treble makers together this weekend and it was really fun to catch up and par-tay! It got me even more excited to party at workshop in 2 weeks!!!!!! YEAH!

To infinity and beyond! Here we are pretending to look cool in front of this wicked poster in the Emerson Multi purpose room.

" Duh duh Happy bufday!!!!!"

This past week two of my bestest friends had their 15 th birthdays and this is my ode to them!

Korky Phillis!(Korttney Phillips)

Korttney, this chica has been with me through the thick n' thin. We became friends when we were still in beehives..and we always joke about a picture that was taken that night and it always ends with..."Iew! We were Soo dang ugly back then!" Haha! I always remember how all through junior high whenever me and Korky would walk together and kids would run up and say, "are you guys like sisters or somethin?" It was so funny that we even said yes a couple times! My fondest memory with Korttney probably would have to be when we spent the night at my sister's house and she told us..yeah what lies beneath is NOT a scary movie. Go ahead and watch it. That night me and Korky I swear to you almost wet ourselves because we got so nervous! And the next morning after Korttney took a shower she blow dried her hair and it looked like a FRO on a white woman! It was so funny cuz she went up to my brother in law and said, "Hey Weston, ever seen a white woman with a Fro?" It was so amazing!

Jonny Boy

Jonny Boy actually turned 15 today! Well, this boy is pretty much my hero. He plays guitar, he writes his own music, and he is an INCREDIBLE performer! He starred this year as Harold Hill in "The Music Man" and was absolutely phenominal at the part! (hence the little band uniform he's wearing!) I've known this kid since last year when we became Teen Tones partners. Every day in there was so fun and exciting. Some of my fondest memories with Jonathan have been attempting to dip as we try and act dramatic during "Hernandoes Hideaway". Playing finger football and taking wiggle pictures at Regionals! And last but not least going to see IRON MAN a couple weeks ago and totally be phsyced and exhilirated about the movie! It was absolutely incredible! (The movie, that is) But anywho..Jonathan has helped me thru the rough times and is one of the sweetest boys I"ve ever met!

Korky and Jonny boy, where would i be without you two? I can't tell you how different my life would be without the sunshine that comes from your smiles and make my day every day every single time! I just love you both dearly! More than you'll ever know! Haha Happy Birthday! :]

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS? DOES ANYONE CARE?? AAH! So pretty much I'm just about ready to Snap...school needs to end...END OF STORY!

HAHA Well on the Bright side we just got our YEAR BOOKS! It makes me very very happy.

All at the same time even tho I can't help but reminisce (spelt right?) about everything wonderful that happened this year! I can't tell you how many good times there were...it's insane.

FOR instance this past school year I was in the production of "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown!" I would just like to tell you all...that if you ever get stressed out..act like a 6 YEAR OLD! That was seriously one of the best de-stressers of my life! haha it was amazing.

Thespian conference with the peanuts was the best..not gonna lie!

Not to mention we discovered Maddi's true calling that day! Repair WO-man! haha

Also all of the dances we went to this year were amazing! Co-ed, Morp, Prom..awesome!

Co-ed with Nay nay! Mmmm. cheesecake!

Morp with Danny Boy! Haha we were ghostbusters! I loved our costumes..they were intense!

Okay so this weekend all of my friends went to prom..and I ended up serving for it! So I felt bad..i didn't really get to see anyone else but I saw Ash and Mar and their dates, and they sent me some pics!

Haha I love these two.. oh and by the way..she MADE THIS DRESS!!!! Skills right there, SKILLS!

Or could it be the fact that I'm gonna party in Musical theater Workshop at Mcc with some of my dearest loves in less than five weeks??

MORP!!

So this weekend we had MORP and I went with my very good friend Dan Dan! It was Sooo dang fun! The theme was gettin' down to business and you had to dress up like your favorite career...so can you guess what we dressed up as?? Well, we went as the GHOSTBUSTERS!!!!!! Daniel came up with the idea and it is probably the best costume I've ever worn to anything! :]

Haha I loved the costumes we came up with! Don't we look so intense? Haha we had jumpsuits and sweet boots and toolbelts with silly string and Dan made his own ghostbuster backpack! He literally attached car parts and hoses to it! But the best part of all is he attached speakers to it and had his ipod so that we could play our theme song!!! It was awesome!!! Here's a better view of the backpack...it was so cool! :] So now I shall introduce you to the people in my group..these two went as the MAFFIA!

Haha so THESE TWO went as robots from the future! But first I must tell you that there is a story behind this costume. So back in the days when I was in charlie brown at Mesa I played the tree in one song. And for that song these two gave me the inspiration to wear a cardboard tube for the base of my tree ( like the bark and stuff) so anyways, during that show we three decided they should go to morp in the same type of getup. So they did! They were my heroes for the night.

We also had NINJAS! (dont mess with the masters! Hi-ya!)

I dink she saw a ghost or sumfin! (good ding dey got da ghostbusters around! :])

And last but not least we had two fishermen! Don't you love their matching lil vests?

For dinner we all made our own pizzas! Isn't ours cute? We made a lil pepperoni n' olive heart!
Also for our day activity we went to the batting cages! (I couldn't really hit a ball tho! ;] ) but that's okay. Here's a vid of a really cute robot trying to bat in her cardboard tube!

All in all MORP was the most fun I've had in a long time. I'm so thankful for my friends who are always willing to just kick back and be so dang goofy with me! Life is too short to care what people think..so I'm gonna live it up while I can! :]

Well, actually, I was lucky enough to avoid the dreaded disease of Stage Fright! This weekend I had my voice recital and I got to sing the song "Long as I'm here with you " from Thoroughly Modern Millie! Mom, Dad, Nick, Grandma, and even a couple of my buddies came and supported me , and it was awesome! I love having the support from all of you...it makes my performing all worth while! ;]

This week Taylor Junior High has opened their musical..."THE MUSIC MAN" I've seen it twice already and I'm seeing it two more times with the fam! EVERYONE should go see it if they have the time. Mesa Kids + Snow = PAR-TAY!

So this weekend we had our all region honor choir festival! It was a blast and one fourth of the choir was kids from MESA! How fun is that ! So here are some pictures of the two LONG days we all spent together! :]

This past weekend I got to go to CO-ED with Nathan Dandridge! We had 16 people in our group and it was SOOOO much fun! We all went to Marc's house to eat dinner, (which consisted of shiskabobs and cheesecake) and then we all took pictures together! There were some pretty hyper-active kids there, including myself which made all the more fun to be with them! After a week or so of waiting, I found out that I am no longer an alternate for the regional
choir but that I'm officially IN the choir now because others dropped out!

YES! I am way excited to be doing it with so many of my friends! The song playing right now

is one of the songs we are singing in that choir called, "Dona Nobis Pacem" I can't wait to perform! :]

On January 27, 2008 our beloved President Hinckley passed away into a life that is far better than any of us know. I know with all my heart that President Hinckley had a homecoming like no other in heaven and is with his sweet wife right now. This man inspired me so much in his lifetime and I am so grateful for everything he taught me.

I'll never forget his sense of humor in all that he did. He never skipped a beat while on this earth and was always so spry that at times I thought for sure that he would out-live me! In this shot President Hinckley is "dubbing" Elder Eyering after he was called to be second counselor in the first presidency. It was so funny! :]

In honor of our beloved prophet, most of the youth at Mesa High decided to wear their church clothes for one day. Here is all of us together after school. It was fun being able to represent something so special as one group of young people.

And ....of course....we had to have our goofy picture! My friends...haha..I couldn't live without em!

President Hinckley really had a love for the youth of the church and it made me feel really happy to be able to know that he knew us and our trials, and always related so well to us as kids in his talks. He was such a sweet man who was truly a servant of the lord and I will miss him greatly. I love him so much and thank thee o God, for my prophet.

So this weekend me and A LOT of my friends from school auditioned for the all west regional choir. Here are a couple of pics of the people who were there with me! Later that evening I was blessed to find out that I was the 1st alternate in the alto section for that choir. So if anyone should drop out for any reason, then I'm in!! Out of the 100 kids who get into this choir, over 20 of those kids came from MESA HIGH! Way to show em what we're made of guys! I'm so excited for this opportunity to sing and learn this music with all my friends! I love you all and you are all so talented! :]

Today I went to the dentist...and of course I was given a GOOD dose of novacaine to numb my mouth! The results were pretty drastic and I couldn't help but laugh at myself the entire way home! One side of my mouth was all droopy and the other was swollen way up high on my face. I could only talk out of one side, well...just see for yourself!!! Make sure to turn my playlist off before you watch these!!

I decided to sing to the radio on the way home from the dentist, but I ended up looking like Barbra Streisand or something because my lips were ALL OVER the place!!! It was so weird!!!

Pretty much, it was just a lot of DUMB NUMBness!!! But I'm not gonna lie, it was very entertaining! :]

You Can't Stop the Beat!

So pretty much, I got the opportunity to go see one of the most amazing shows ever!!! And that show is called........HAIRSPRAY! And no, not the movie, but the real life performance of it on stage! The national tour came to Mesa and I am so blessed to have parents that love me enough to get me tickets to go see it and have a fun night with a buddy!

Me and Maddi-cuteface-Moffat went to the show together and it was sosososo fun! There's never a dull moment between the two of us!!! There was a part at the very end of the show where the lead, Tracy Turnblad says, "C'mon MESA! Let's Dance!" And they started to play some funky music and we had NO SHAME in getting our boogie on and rocking the joint!
So pretty much when me and Maddi asked each other what our favorite part of the show was, without hesitation we both answered, "SEAWEED! SEAWEED!" He was an incredible performer and was one of the best characters in the whole show!

So we went bowling for Nick's birthday and it was really fun! We went with the fam ...Biddy, Wes, Brinky dink, Allard, mamma and the whole lot of em! What a crew let me tell ya!!! A day at the zoo

Okay so I am a bad blogger, it's been a couple weeks since we actually went to the zoo for Brinky's 3rd Birthday, but I figured better late than never! It was a pretty fun day, I have to say. I think we all felt right at home ...considering the Party Animals that we all are! Aww. These guys were so cute here are a couple of orangutangs taking a lil snooze!

This guy I caught redhanded trying to escape out of his cage. He was trying to get to the greener grass on the other side! Luckily we caught him at a safe time, because me and Bridget usually catch them at the blessed time of year when love is in the air! ;]

I absolutely adore this picture! Because it really captures the way that the sisters act when they're around each other!!! As Brinky would say, we act like "doobahs!"

My birthday this year was absolutely amazing!

So my day started off with me being kidnapped by the Laurels and going to eat DELICIOUS and maybe even deadly breakfast burritos!

I know you can't tell from the picture, but this food was sooooo tasty! Props to the leaders! :]

Here's me and "Ashee" at the breakfast. We've got that "just rolled out of bed " look goin! I think we've become masters of that style!
We decided to digest our food while we took some good ole' wiggle pictures. The baby isn't too sure about those faces though!
I think they planned the breakfast too early , because Ashlee got way too slap happy for her own good. At least she made friends with the ball. :]

And then, even more exciting, my amazing friends took me on my very first date and trust me.....they did it up right. So first we went out to Usery Pass and we got to eat really yummy food, play around, and sit around a campfire. The very first picture for this post is all of us together out in the desert.
Once the park closed at 8, we went to Abby Well's house and we watched Cool Runnings, and brought in the New Year together!!! They even made me and Katie (we share the same birthday) a yummy cake and special glasses to drink Martinelli's out of!!!

Before we ate, we all walked up to the top of a little mountain and this is what the sunset looked like! It was so pretty!

No, I'm not talking about the movie! I'm just talking about my life in general! I am so greatly blessed that it's almost hard to believe! My Christmas was so fun! Santa was very generous this year and took care of me..just like i knew he would. Here are a couple pictures of my awesome Christmas celebration!

Dear ole' Daddy-o read me and Nick "Twas' the night before Christmas" on Christmas Eve. Okay, so Bridget is on the activities committee in her ward ..therefore she was in charge of the ward Christmas party. She brought over these decorations to use in our house to make it look more festive. Unfortunately, I was a sucker and they caught me shaking the boxes to see if I could guess what was inside. As it turns out, I just got a plateful of embarrassment ..because they were EMPTY!

This is my lovely stocking! You can't see everything that's inside but let's just say that I got a lot of candy, gum, and other really fun goodies!

My wonderful grandma, knows that I am madly in love with Charlie Brown so she decided to buy me this card that plays the charlie brown theme song on the inside!
MMMM..santa also knew that I love hot cheetos! So I found these in my stocking!

I have been out of perfume for a really long time. Now I can finally smell sweet again!

Okay, so this isn't exactly my gift! But Nick got a really cool nerf target shooting thing, and it was pretty fun! I think I'll try and be just as good of a marksman (or markswoman) as my daddy!
My Christmas was so fun this year! I am eternally grateful for all I have been blessed with and for the time I got to spend with my family!!! Merry Christmas!

So school is pretty much over for the semester! YES! I don't think that anyone can understand how dad gum excited I am! (Dad gum just slipped, I think i've been around my sunday school teachers too much! :] Hey bro. pete, give it a little shakey shake! :] )

ANYWAYS, to celebrate the upcoming holiday, I created this inspired work of art! (me and brinky were playing with play-do!)

If you couldn't tell, it's a lil play do nativity scene. Speaking of Nativities, I wanted to take this opportunity to let you all know how grateful I am for the true meaning of Christmas. I was blessed enough to participate in Rob Moffat's Oratorio called the Nativity and it was so amazing! The spirit was so strong that it was nearly overwhelming! I'm so thankful for my lord and redeemer, even Jesus Christ. He is my light and my song and I know that he's the one who's given me the strength to stand in holy places and not be moved. I love the savior, I love this holiday season, and I love the joy and peace that come from spending time with the family and friends that I so greatly adore! I love you all. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I'm not sure how many of you know this but I DO NOT enjoy reading as a pasttime! I have to be constantly doing something with my body to keep me entertained. (I apologize to the book club lovers out there) but a 300 pg. novel just isn't for me!!!!

I have been up so late the past couple of nights that it is not even funny! Here are a couple of the things that have gone through my mind as I've read this book:

I'm no rebel, but destruction of school property sounds pretty enticing at the moment!!!!!!!!!!

On the other hand, I could tell Mrs. Barker that my dog didn't eat my homework...he ate my entire novel!!!!!

2. Real tree or artificial? I enjoy real trees, but my family insists we use the artificial one we already own!
3. When do you put up your tree? Usually right after Thanksgiving
4. When do you take down your tree? After the wild party that we have for New Years!
5. Do you like eggnog? Uncle Dan has tried his best to get me to drink it with him every year...but it's not my favorite!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? I think I was considered a child about 6 years back..probably my guitar that Bridget gave me!
7. Do you have a nativity scene? Not yet, but we're working on it.
8. Hardest person to buy for? Grandpa Ray, I think we've already bought every golf-related gift possible over the years!
9. Easiest person to buy for? Brinky and Ally...they'll play with almost anything!
10. Worst Christmas gift you've ever received? I've been pretty happy with my gifts up until this point.
11. Mail or email Christmas cards? Me and Mom usually hit up the friendly neighborhood walmart and make our own cards at the kiosk..so we mail them!

12. Favorite Christmas movie? Elf, Muppet christmas carol (oy heatwave! Tis' my island in the sun!), polar express, and the Santa Claus movies.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? My family believes in survival of the fittest and fight the crowds on black friday every year. There was an old lady in the back of Kohls who had a stroke, probably from high blood pressure or something! Not to mention Bid had to tackle people at Kmart for a pink&pretty bike for Brinky!
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? If passing around a beef stick back and forth all year long counts.....then yes. We even baked it into Bridget's birthday cake once!
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? I can't argue with Aaron on this one! Grandma A's apple pie and buns!! Any baked good she touches turns to gold!
16. White or colored lights? Definitely white...it reminds me of snow and the angels.
17. Favorite Christmas song? Do you hear what I hear and away in a manger.
18. Traveling for Christmas or stay home? There's no place like home for the holidays!
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? You know dasher and dancer and prancer and vixen! Comet and cupid and Donnor and blitzen! And of course rudolph! (are you sure you were too lazy to answer that question Aaron? Or have you secretly forgotten their names over the years?!)

24. What I love most about Christmas? Catching up with my family. I think we all forget how blessed we are to have each other throughout the year because life get's so hectic. I know that I was gone with Charlie Brown for months, and now Nick is starting music man, and Dad has a lot of work , and mom and biddy are always busy being full time caretakers for the rest of us ,and Wes doggy has been in school...but I just can't wait for everybody to be together for the holidays! For those of you who don't know ...Suanne is the director of the outback theater over at Mesa Community College. This means that she runs the Magic of Musical Theater Workshop that has been running for twenty years now!

Anyways, the original age limit on that workshop was people going into their sophomore year of highschool...which was me last year! The end of workshop last year got me and dear Rachy poo and Melia very sad because it marked my last year participating in it!

Now, 5 months later I show up to voice lessons with Linsey tellling me, "Guess what! Suanne bumped up the age limit and you can do it for two more years!" I nearly jumped out of my shoes and was ready to run 50 miles out of sheer excitement!

So in honor of this momentous occasion in history, here's a clip of what goes on backstage, (or in the bathroom) of musical theater workshop!

Holy Cowell!!!

So Nick comes home today from school and tells me,

"Hey, guess what! I got a Lead Role in

Taylor Junior High's production

of the Music Man!!!

I promise that I almost passed out from

excitement! He on the other hand was very reserved and

chillaxed about it which was quite a shock to me! Because I

know that I would be bouncing off the WALLS if I ever got

called back and made a lead in a musical! I'm still working on

that one! :]

So many amazing kids got casted for the

show such as Nick, Trevor Shepherd, Jonathan Stones,

Marc Lorenzen, and even little Kevin Hale ;] and I am

so stinkin proud of all of them!

Thespian Conference Day 2

Here's some more memories of Thespian Conference! Once more we took some more really fun workshops, including yoga! I never realized how amazing it was until I did it! We all felt so chillaxed after it that it wasn't even funny! We also found out that we were chosen to perform that night for the critic's choice award in the group musical number category. We got into costume as fast as we could and performed Beethoven's Day in front of 1600 people. It was incredible! Here are some shots of day 2!

Ok, before I say anything I want you all to know that Thespians aren't a bunch of gay theater people! It just means theater people. Anyways, so the cast of Charlie Brown is lucky enough to be able to go to Thespian conference where we get to take different workshops having to do with singing, dancing, and acting and we also entered one of our group numbers into a competition! Holy cow, what a day it has been!!! Today my dad woke up and decided that he was going to rip out our tile all on his own! (I wonder about him sometimes!) The house is wrapped up like a package a flash frozen food, there is dust EVERYWHERE, and the sound of the cursed jackhammer sounds like World War three! All day long I've been hiding in the safety of my room as tile shards ricochet off my door! It amazes me that no one got a piece of tile to the eye or some other kind of casualty! So what do you get with a teenager who just played violet in mesa high's musical, a buttload of math homework that needs to be done, and the lack of will-power to accomplish that homework?? Well, i'm not really sure exactly....but I think I'll call the look: Mo the tough-man truck driver.

It's insane how creative I can get while bored out of my mind! I must admit though...it is a very attractive look and maybe I should play the role of Mo more often!

In case any of you were wondering how my hair turned out with the rollers, here's a picture of it! Just remember that it was post-show and looks really rough! Sister Payne put it up in two separate buns and it turned out amazing! She said that it was the same hairstyle that she often gives to her 5 year old daughter! That made me happy and got me even more into my character!!!

So I have officially decided that it's a good thing that tomorrow is decade's day for Mesa high spirit week! As it turns out, I have to wear rollers in my hair at school tomorrow to get the curl I need in order to pull of a six year old look for Charlie brown! But because of spirit week, there is no way that I can feel stupid becuase someone will always look more dumb than me. (You can guarantee it at Mesa!) But I absolutely adore playing the role of a six year old! It is so stinkin fun! Here are a couple pictures of my lovely rollers!!! Aren't they so colorful?!

Here Comes Charlie Brown!

As of today there are exactly fifteen days left until the opening of Mesa High's "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown!" Everyone in the cast is spewing with excitement and we can't wait to get our show out in the public! We even finally got our cast t-shirts and they look awesome! These are a few pictures of what the shirt design looks like! This show is going to be absolutely amazing and I can hardly stand the wait til opening night! Our show runs Wed. Oct 31-Sat. Nov. 3 with shows at 7:00 pm and a matinee on Saturday also at 2:00 pm. Thanks for everyone's support and we'll see you there!

Birthday Bash!

Today was Michelle's 17th birthday! We threw her a party at lunch with cake, confetti, pizza, and the whole enchilada! It was really fun to goof off with everyone there and even play don't eat pete! The first picture is of me and the birthday girl herself!(I know, I look kinda funny with my glasses on!) The second picture is of Maddi and Marc after their frosting fight! Marc smeared frosting all over Maddi and wouldn't let her smear her frosting right back Then when he called a truce...she smacked him up side the face with a hand full of frosting. You go girl! All in all it was pretty darn hilarious! It was a really good day! I love you Michelle! Happy birthday my love!

So I was cast as violet in Mesa high's musical, You're a good man charlie brown...but according to this quiz I'm more like little miss Sally Brown than I know! I have to admit that it almost matches my personality perfectly ...I do tend to try and find the easy way out! Well, as Sally would say: That's my new philosophy!

I'd like to take a moment to pay tribute to all of the innocent men and women who died on this horrific day in American history six years ago. On the morning of September 11, I woke up knowing that something was terribly wrong. I recall walking into my mom's room and feeling sickened by the sight of the burning towers on the television screen. The amount of casualties that day was almost too many to even number. That day, I was starting to lose hope of what our nation was capable of and how we would handle this mass catastrophe. But today the US. rolls forward with pride and dignity. Our founding fathers fought for our freedom, and no one can take that away from us...not ever. God bless the USA.

The Crazy Life That I Live!!!

I know that many of you are probably really bored with the fact that I haven't posted anything new in ages! So here are a couple of videos and pictures of my crazy teenage life. Hopefully you'll be able to better understand why I am, the way that I am! First of all, the picture above is our goofy picture from our family reunion that was held in Canada this summer. We hadn't had one in twelve years and decided to make the most of it while it lasted! Doesn't my family have a hilarious sense of humor?! These first videos are clips from me and Ashlee's snow trip to vernon. The picture of the patriotic babies are the two joys of my life! My two nieces! Back to the reunion, this is a picture of all of the cousins who came. Probably one of the funnest group of kids you will ever meet in your entire existence! Um. the picture of the two girls is me and my friend Rachel Lyn Martindale, at our musical theater workshop over the summer. If you didn't know , I love to perform! I recently made the musical at mesa called "you're a good man charlie brown!" I am really excited! And the very last picture is me, Abby, and Julia at the lake...because we LOVE to WAKEBOARD!!!

As many of you know, my mom recently booted me off of our family blog due to some unfortunate circumstances in which i tried to mess with the template and wiped out ALL of the pictures and even our playlist! I know that my blog is super empty now but I'll do my best to keep busy with taking pictures and keeping you posted on the happenings of my crazed teenage life! ps- in case you need a good laugh...here's a dose of hilariousness from two extremely bored teenagers! Keep in mind, I was extremely delirious from our ten day trip to Canada and the countless hotels that we were so fortunate to stay at on the way home. Our A.C. broke the night we got home and somehow I ended up making this video at 4:30 am!!! Enjoy!
